Want to buy a South Yorkshire castle?  The land on which stands the motte and bailey site called Bailey Hill behind St Nicholas Church at High Bradfield is on the market by the agents Fischer and German of Retford, Notts. Its not clear who owns the land which I understand is being offered for grazing. The earthworks are a protected Ancient Monument. See the attached wonderful photograph of the Motte supplied by my old mate Malcolm Nunn of Bradford Parish Council and dated 1903
